MY RESPONSIBILITY
Connecting assortment and business development.
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
Steering the product business.
Responsibility for the PDA and accessories assortment in the DACH market. Management of portfolio, purchasing volume, and margin, as well as alignment of product activities with the European Options team.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Securing leading retail partners.
Developing the PDA business by acquiring leading retail enterprises. Successful positioning of a new Toshiba private label in retail, alongside positive revenue and margin development in the accessories segment.
EUROPEAN COLLABORATION
Representing the DACH market within the European team.
Collaboration with the European team in an English-speaking professional environment. Disciplinary reporting line to the Marketing Director DACH and functional alignment with the Director Options of Toshiba Europe.
SELECTED RESULTS
Significantly expanding the German PDA business.
Advanced the German PDA market share into the GfK Top 3 rankings and increased Germany’s share of total European PDA business to over 50%.
In the accessories portfolio, revenue and margins developed positively. A new Toshiba private label was successfully positioned with leading retail enterprises.
Experience for the next entrepreneurial phase.
In 2004, as part of a worldwide restructuring, Toshiba downsized personnel and discontinued the PDA portfolio. Consequently, my employment ended due to operational reasons under a social plan.
Following this station, I began my self-employed career in Düsseldorf. I remained connected with Toshiba through the subsequent SportPDA project.
